Cookie Policy & Settings
This page explains what cookies are, how we use them, and lets you manage your preferences.

What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit. Cookies help the site remember your preferences and keep you logged in across pages. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others are optional and used for analytics or personalisation. We also use similar browser storage technologies (local storage and session storage); this policy covers those as well.
Cookies We Use
- Essential cookies and first-party storage: Required for core functionality such as keeping you signed in and remembering your cookie preferences, and for the first-party usage records that are integral to operating and securing the service. This includes mm_anon_id (a persistent, randomly generated device identifier kept in local storage, used to link usage records such as pages visited and features used) and mm_session_id (a session-scoped identifier cleared when your browsing session ends). These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
- Functional first-party storage: Browser storage that remembers your choices and keeps features working between visits: your sign-in token, your chosen astrology system (Vedic or Western), your welcome answers (so we open the right room and don't ask again), unsent form drafts (so birth details aren't lost on a refresh), and recent AstroPrime conversations, which are kept only on your device and expire automatically within about a day. If you use the free preview without an account, a guest token and a device identifier are used to apply the free-tier limits per device.
- Analytics cookies: Set by Google tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads) to help us understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. The Analytics toggle below governs these Google tools only; it does not affect the first-party usage records described above, which are integral to the service. These Google cookies are optional and you can disable them below.
- Marketing cookies: May be used to deliver content relevant to your interests. These are optional and disabled by default. You can enable them below if you wish.
Third-Party Services
Some features of matchmakeco rely on third-party services (such as Google for sign-in and Razorpay for payments). These services may set their own cookies on your device in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control those cookies and encourage you to review the relevant third-party policies.
Managing Your Preferences
You can update your cookie preferences at any time using the controls below. The Analytics and Marketing toggles govern third-party (Google) cookies; essential cookies and first-party usage records are not affected by them. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will affect the functionality of the site.
